Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing had inherited the leadership of the Royal Order of Protestant Knights – also known as the Hellsing Organization – at the young age of 13, while standing on the death bed of her father. However, her uncle Richard had wanted the role and tried to have the girl killed. It was during the attempt that she had freed the greatest weapon the Hellsing Organization had – the vampire Alucard, who was impressed by the girl's bravery. After Richard Hellsing was killed, Alucard swore his allegiance to Integra... and gave her the title 'Sir Integra'.

Ever since then, Sir Hellsing had led the Hellsing Organization. At times, she can be driving... almost cruel. But she also has the best intentions at heart with those who work for her. She, along with Walter C. Dollnez, are the only humans that truly merits Alucard's respect. She is also an excellent fencer and a very accurate markswoman.
