Character Description: Jaken
Jaken is Sesshomaru's annoying little servant. He originally commanded a great quantity of demons, but he left to travel with Sesshomaru, in awe of the dog demon's strength and gracefulness.
Jaken uses the Staff of Heads, a staff that has the head of an old man and a woman. The man's head can spit out fire.
Jaken is constantly abused by Sesshomaru, but he is so devoted to his master that he does not seem to notice. Or if he does, he does not care.
When Rin is introduced, Jaken cares for her because if he does a good job, he believes Sesshomaru will say nice things to him.
I'm told Jaken's name means "wicked" in Japanese.

I like Jaken hes funny..... I don't think he is annoying he just really wants Sesshomaru to like him and he only serves Sesshomaru.

Well, i came here looking for more of a Jaken information thing. I found about half of what i was looking for. I wanted to know what the young woman's head did, because the manga so far gives little indication to it. (or, as far as i've read it hasn't; I'm only to chapter 294:Entei, Page 16, panel 1 to be exact) all i know is that it aids in looking for something by screaming or not, which indicates weither whatever it searches for is there. (also, don't you think that the woman head looks very much like the Mistress Centipede's (you know, the first youkai Kagome comes across in the entire manga) head?) ... show more »

I really don't know what to say about this. It makes me laugh. Jaken takes care of Rin "because he believes Sesshomaru will say nice things to him". I think that may be my favorite part. lol It was short but to the point and well, like I said before...funny.
