Last I checked, this character's cosplay outfit was available at Milanoo and Moon Costumes.
Kagome Higurashi was just a normal teenage girl living in Tokyo at the Sunset Shrine in the year 1997. Then, on the day of her fifteenth birthday, she stumbles into an old well on the shrine that her family cares for. A centipede demon grabs her and demands that Kagome give her the Shikon Jewel. Having no idea what the demon is talking about, she panics and somehow emits a purple light from her hands that appears to kill the demon.
After climbing back out of the well, she sees that she is in a forest. Running to where her house should be, she finds a tree with a boy pinned to it. Then villagers from a nearby village attack her thinking she is a shape shifting demon. The priestess of the village, Kaede, notices that Kagome strongly resembles her dead sister, Kikyou.
During their conversation, the demon attacks again. Kagome runs to the tree that the boy is pinned to, and after being injured by the demon, she releases the boy. The boy immediately demands that she hand over the jewel. By this time Kaede arrives and places a magical necklace on the boy that will immobilize him when Kagome says the word "sit". Kaede explains to her about the boy, Inuyasha, and how he was pinned to the tree. She also concludes that Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyou.
Later on in the day, the jewel is stolen by a crow demon and is shattered into many pieces which become scattered all over the land. Being the reincarnation of Kikyou, Kagome is also blessed with a sixth sense enabling her to find the jewel shards. She has also seemed to inherit some of Kikyou's archery skills, though her powers are still seriously under-developed.
Kagome is the reincarnation of a priestess of InuYasha's time named Kikyou. At first she and InuYasha didn't get along because his memories of Kikyou got in the way. As they continued searching for the Jewel of Four Souls (Shikon no Tama), they began to develop feelings for each other, but of course neither would admit it.
When Kikyou shows up again, Kagome has to deal with InuYasha's feelings for her. She has developed a friendship with Sango and Miroku, and is Shippo's self appointed protector.

I liked the original but my favorite was "The Final Act".

She is caring and loving and she cares about Inuyasha a lot <3
At 1st she wasn't sure of her feelings 4 him but as time passed her feelings turned from like to love :) Both Inuyasha and Kagome love each other they just didn't tell each other Inuyasha bein the stubborn headed dog he is and Kagome being shy lol.
All in all everything turned out fine.
Hey has anyone seen the new season of Inuyasha called "The Final Act" yet?
It's totally awesome! There is a lot of romance between Inuyasha and Kagome too!

I haven't checked recently but last I checked there was some dubbed episodes but those were just fan dubbed or something. I heard all the original voice actors will b coming back except #2 but don't worry, I've heard the new voice actors 4 those characters and they sound mostly the same :) Everyone is annoyed and mad right now cuz "The Final Act" was supposed 2 b released ages ago x(
I cant wait 2 c it in English dubbed :)
But 4 now all those who r wanting 2 c this new awesome season of Inuyasha, u can watch it in English Subbed! That's what I did anyway :P

KAGOME confesses her true feelings for INUYASHA and ask INUYASHA if she could stay with him. Inuyasha didn't say YES or NO but ASK KAGOME if she wants to stay with him AND KAGOME said YES
Will there be INUYASHA MOVIE 5... because the last EPISODE of the FINAL ACT was too SHORT.. And I hope others would agree, we would like to see more of INUYASHA serious side when it comes to KAGOME and would CONFESS his LOVE for KAGOME... ... show more »

For ppl that don't like how she dresses and thinks she should b wearing pants instead of a skirt all the time and calls her a slut...! If people don't like what Kagome wears that's there problem.
Well I know it's because I'm used to seeing her in a school uniform but I don't think she would look good in pants. She looks good in green and in her school uniform.

Okay, I've heard the arguments about how Kagome runs around in her school uniform everywhere. You know what? She chooses to do so because her school uniform is very durable. So claims the AUTHOR OF THE FREAKING SERIES, RUMIKO TAKAHASHI.
Kagome also never wears pants, near ever, but that's more Rumiko to blame than the character herself. Rumiko Takahashi has admitted to having a slight... What's the word i'm looking for?
Oh, Fetish. Rumiko Takahashi has admitted to having a slight fetish for drawing Kagome's legs. Not to mention girls in school uniforms are a very beloved and popular thing in japanese culture, especially in Mangas.
I do not approve of basing either Kagome or Kikyo. Rumiko Takahashi designed them and created them as she did, if you have a problem with it, don't rant and rave here like a stupid dumbass, go write to Rumiko about your issues. It's infantile to be fighting about such a thing. If you like the friggin series, good for you, if you have issues with what the AUTHOR did, go take it up with her, character-hating is both stupid and highly annoying.
Oh, and there seem to be slight disagreements about Kagome's eye colour, because in the art for the manga, her eyes appear to be a grey-ish blue. I happened to be trying to work on something and I couldn't decide if it would be right for her to have blue or brown eyes. I just wasn't sure if I should follow the manga info or the anime info... And I happen to be a tiny bit too cheap to buy the official character profiles book. I was sort of hoping I would be able to find the answer here... Though I guess I'll just stick to the manga information, since the mangas always do seem to have more about near everything than the animes. ... show more »
