Cartoon Description: Kappa Mikey
Notice: Kappa Mikey is not Japanese Animation! It is a cartoon produced in the US. However, because it was created as a parody of anime, I have decided to include it on this site. If you're one of those hard-core anime purists who can't stand seeing a non-anime series on a site dedicated to Japanese Animation, then just press the Back button on your web browser and pretend like you were never here. And it's also worth noting that Sean Schemmel (the English voice actor for Goku from Dragon Ball Z) plays one of the main characters.
Mikey Simon is an American cartoon character who wins a scratch-off contest, giving him a role in the new Japanese anime series, "LilyMu." Traveling to Japan, he helps the show skyrocket in the ratings.
However, Mikey has a wild time adjusting to the local culture, and results in quite a few oddball adventures with his fellow "anime" cast members. Much of the humor revolves on how much Mikey stands out from the rest of the characters, while much of the cast are familiar anime cliches (such as the hot-headed anime girl and many others). Mikey is drawn in a familiar Americanized style similar to show's Like Dexter's Laboratory and the Powerpuff Girls.
