Karin lives with a family of vampires who love to suck blood. Unlike the rest of her family, Karin actually makes blood, and when she attacks a person, instead of sucking their blood she gives some of her blood to them. By doing this, she prevents a massive nosebleed every month.
Her peaceful school life changes when a new transfer student, Kenta Usui, shows up. Her blood reacts to him because he suffers from unhappiness, and that is Karin's preference in blood. When she gives her blood to an unhappy person, they become much happier than they were before, but the effect is only temporary.
In order to avoid nose bleeds, Karin tries to stay away from Usui-kun as much as possible. And it is not easy because they are in the same class and work at the same restaurant. Karin is doing everything to not let Usui-kun discover her secret, but he saw her attack several people, including his own mom.

Karin is whats called a Fountain of Psyche or Pistis Sophia as said in volume 12 and near the end of chapter 49 named Everyone's choice and Calera's Report...
