Kahoko Hino is the main character of La Corda d'oro ~Primo Passo~. She was in class 2 General Department. She didn't know why she was chosen to participate in the music competition, but with the magic violin that Lili gave her, she can play the violin as well as the students in the Music department.

But, she has a conflict in her heart as she thinks she was cheating since she used the magic power of the violin, and didn't play with true skill like Tsukimori. Because of that, the magic violin broke three of its strings, which means she can't play the violin and has to forfeit. Lili doesn't want her to forfeit, but for Kahoko it's a way for her to escape for "cheating" the other contestants.

Kahoko is a normal student that accidentally met a fairy named Lili. She was the only one that could see Lili, so Lili said that she's the one that can make the interschool music contest different that year. Kaho tried to avoid Lili, but Lili keep finding her and since nobody else can see Lili, Kaho can't do anything.

She tried to ignore Lili and continue her day when the principal announced that she is to join the interschool music contest. Kaho is forced to join the contest and when she protested by saying she can't play any instrument, Lili gave her the magical violin. Finally she agreed to join the competition.

Kahoko is a very gentle person. That makes her music so gentle. She is very nice and friendly to everyone. She is also very honest and will feel very, very guilty when she's lying. She loves music very much and is straightforward when playing music. She is inspiring to many people especially people participating in the contest. Basically, she is loved by everyone. But there are some people jealous of her being able to perticipate the contest despite the fact she's a general education student.
