Worsel hears Kim's cries for help and (as a fellow Lensman) came to his aid, freeing him from the Catlat plants. Introducing himself as Worsel, he doesn't realize that Kim wasn't a trained Lensman nor that Kim's mission was so vital. However, he helps to rescue Chris and Buskirk as well as buy them time with an elaborate escape plan that would see them through to Radelix.

Worsel's ability to fly combined with his arsenal of weapons make him a powerful ally in the fight against the Boskone, and his ingenuity and knowledge of the ways of the Lensmen are of great help both to Kim's group and to Kim personally.
