Anime Description: Macross: Do You Remember Love?

Do You Remember Love is the classic retelling of the original Macross. (a.k.a. Robotech Season 1), and serves as a movie retelling of the series events of Space War I in the Macross universe. In the theatrical version, humanity is thrown into a three way war between them, the Zentraedi, and the Meltrandi (female Zentredi).

Humanity has taken residence in the Superdimensional Fortress Macross (SDF-1) after an accidental spacefold teleports South Atalia Island to the edge of the Solar System, and undergoes a journey to make it back to the Earth. A young Valkyrie pilot named Hikaru ends up rescuing the famous pop singer Lynn Minmay after a battle with the Zentraedi. As their relationship develops, he becomes caught in the middle of a love triangle between Minmay and female officer Misa Hayes.

However, as the Zentraedi continue their assault, Minmay is kidnapped and Hikaru and Misa are accidently transported back to Earth, only to find their civilization already destroyed by the Zentraedi. Humanity's only hope for survival lies with the Macross and Minmay's song, which has the power to fully determine the outcome of this war.

Note: Macross: Clash of the Bionoids has some violence and nudity edited out from the original version.
