Character Description: Minato Haruka

Quitting her job as a corporate secretary, the breath taking Minato becomes the Nadesico's navigator. She soon becomes romantically involved with Goat Hory, but mid-way through the series... let's just say it doesn't work out. Following her relationship with Hory, Minato takes a liking to the Jovian Ambassador, Tsukumo Shiratori. She introduces the man to physical desire. The relationship doesn't last, however, as the Jovian Ammbassodor gets assisinated. I suppose to prove her love (or maybe she just felt she should) Minato adopts the man's little sister, Yukina, to raise as her own.

Character Description: Minato Haruka

Minato probably has the easiest job aboard the Nadesico: the helm. That's because Omoikane (the ship's computer) can handle the routine matters of naviagaiton, meaning Ruri is more necessary on the bridge than Minato unless there's a crisis.

She was formerly a corporate secretary, and her feminine wiles take her into trying to pursue Goat Hory, but his constant rebuffing causes her to seek out a different target.

She seems somewhat the shallow type, but she surprisingly has the capacity for quite a bit of compassion. She's probably the only member of the crew who keeps trying to talk to the emotionless Ruri, frequently calling her "Ruri-Ruri" in efforts to cheer her up. Her compassion will also emerge in other significant ways.
