Character Description: Asuma Sarutobi
Asuma Sarutobi is the sensei of team 10, which consists of Choji Akimichi, Shikamaru Nara, and Ino Yamanaka. He always has a cigarette in his mouth.
When the chuunin exam comes he nominates all three of his students.
In chapter 314 of the manga, it is revealed that Asuma is the Third Hokage's son. Then, in chapter 330, it is revealed that Asuma is Konohamaru's uncle, and he and Kurenai are lovers. We also learn died in the previous issue.
Also in the manga, Asuma is killed by the two Akatsuki members Hidan and Kakuzu. Hidan used a technique such that everytime Hidan gets attacked, his damage gets transfered to Asuma as well... and then Hidan deals a death blow to himself (since he's imortal and Asuma is not). Choji and Ino took him back to Konoha, but by the time they arrived, Asuma passed.

I think that Nagato could only bring back the people he killed within a certain time frame....meaning he could only bring the people back that he JUST killed.

Nagato brought back everybody he killed! he did not kill asuma although im confused about the whole Jiraiya thing he did kill Jiraiya but he never came back to life! oh well....

I cried when asuma died... He's so adorable. I don't hate hidan but I did when this happened. But praise he world that Kakashi was saved. :) he' the best character by far. And agreed Sakura sucks.

I remember watching the episode when Asuma dies. The last thing he wants is a smoke. It was sad. But it was more sad when shikamaru killed Hidan...well not kill but sorta like that.

No:( Asuma died a little before Pein came to the villiage. So Pein could have revived him too. I don't know why Masashi did that! I mean if Pein was going bring everyone to life he should have brought Jiraiya and Asuma back. I know it's not fair:_(

No,Kakashi gets revived well he comes back to life because Naruto talked some sense in Pein and he brought all the people that died! Execpt for Jiraiya which is pretty f**ked up too.
