Character Description: Konan
Konan was a member of Pein's team along with Yahiko back in the rain village during the civil war(s), there team was taught by Jiraya for a period of time. Konan's parents were killed at an unknown time prior to this event.
Konan's jutsu/abilities feature a large amount or origami (the art of paper folding). Konan can actually turn herself into origami and travel to the Rain village she helps command with Pein. Her weakness obviously is water because paper sticks together when it is wet, this is how she is easily defeated by her old sensei Jiraya when they meet again.
Konan also is the only member of the Akatsuki that calls Pein by his name, and also knows that Tobi is actually the leader of the group and not Pein, having been with him when Tobi was speaking to him. The rest of Pein and Konan's relation is unknown, but they appear to be only team mates.

She's probably the prettiest female in Naruto, I mean she's gorgeous. She should have played a bigger role, or ended up ruling the world with Nagato and the six paths of Pein. I think she would go best with Deva Pein, because he's uber hot. Isn't it kinda wierd though, when she was an orphan, she had to steal food and stuff, but she had eyeshadow nevertheless? Konan's eyes are orange and she isn't apart of Akatsuki anymore.

konan isnt in love with nagato, she loves him as like a life-time brother because of all they have been through, she joined akasuki to protect nagato as much as she could. and she not defeated by jirya with water, its oil that he spits at her. and pein is not a person! theres nagato, and the copses he uses!

Yes it was said her reason for joining was love. That may be added some time. Though love doesn't mean she has a crush on Nagato, but she does seem to love him at least as a team mate and maybe as a close as a brother. There haven't been any definitive romantic hintings at all though, so that would be more speculative. ... show more »
