Poor Dortin was dragged away from home when his older brother, Volcan, decided to run away. He's the quiet one. But he possesses common sense, which Volcan unfortunately lacks. When they stole the Sword of Baltanders, Dortin was forced to carry it around. Although Volcan doesn't treat Dortin with much respect and hardly listens to the voice of reason, Dortin stays by his side.
