Haruhi came to the fancy hallways of the Ouran High School as a commoner dressed in odd baggy clothes and throughout the entire first day as a boy! It wasn't until the end of episode one that the Host Club members discovered that just wasn't true.
Because she broke a very expensive vase out of clumsiness, Haruhi is in debt to the Host Club and therefore has to continue having the female customers thinking she is a boy so that she can earn money back for the vase. Although, Tamaki, the leader of the host club, protests a little for he wishes to see Haruhi in her female-ness she had before where guys were asking her out once a month in her old school. At the moment it seems that the Hitachiin twins and Tamaki seem to like her a lot. She had even went on a sort of date with Hikaru Hitachiin once.
Also, she lost her first kiss mistakenly to a girl when Tamaki bumped into her. Her father, a great okama (a man who dresses like a woman) at an Okama bar, was not all too happy with this! Now, Haruhi deals with all of the host members the best she can with all of her density that fills her head! She's a little slow, so let's give her a shot.
Haruhi was a popular girl back at her middle school. She would be confessed to at least once a month! But all she cared about was her studies so she didn't pay attention to the boys. She's also pretty slow at when a boy is trying to confess. She doesn't intend to break someone's heart, but she does unintentionally.
She isn't afraid of anything, according to a game that the male staff of the club created to find out her weaknesses. Tamaki, however, later learns of her fear of thunder later that night when she is hidden in a closet during a storm. He realizes that she was raised to be by herself, and that she is alone. He opens the closet and she jumps out and embraces him and vice versa. He says that if he can he will try to keep her from being alone if he can.
Haruhi Fujioka is a freshman at the prestigious Ouran Academy, but one difference separates her from others: she's "poor". She got into this school filled with rich students through her grades, and is often referred to as "commoner" throughout the series.
On her first day, while searching for a quiet place to study, Haruhi stumbled upon the Host Club in an unused music room. At first, with her short hair, the guys thought that she was a guy. She tries to deny it and in turn, while retreating from the room, she knocked over and shattered a vase worth 8,000,000 yen. To work off her debt, Kyoya demands that she became the Host Club's "Dog" (errand runner).
By the end of the first episode, the entire club knows she's a girl, but they try to hide her status as a woman because she can bring and keep customers with her adorable face. Wacky adventures follow as she tries to pay them off, and they consistently follow Haruhi around and generally annoy the poor girl while trying to keep her gender a secret.
The King grows fondly of Haru (along with the other members of the Host Club) and claims her as his daughter (while of course, liking her in secret). Haru likes to drink instant coffee, and gets the twins hooked on it. She lives in an apartment with her father. Her mother had died when she was young and so she took on the household chores.

KimiMeagan: Haruhi and Tamaki do NOT get married and they ae NOT the first to have kids (if they ever do), the ONLY thing we know is that Tamaki THINKS about proposing to Haruhi (or does propose to her) in one of the specials but that is ALL we know, so no, we do NOT know if Haruhi says yes, we do NOT know if she and Tamaki are the first to have children and we do NOT know if they even want to have children.
I think you need to stop reading fanfiction/living in your own fantasy world and mistaking it for actual reality because you obviously are mixing up what YOU want to happen with what actually DOES happen (or what doesn't happen.) ... show more »

Haruhi is sooo cool and awesome im suprized she actually wanted to be part of the host club (when she said that on ep 3). although it would be pretty cool to accidentally be mistaken for a guy and put in a host club with a bunch of guys

Haruhi ends up with Tamaki. They are the first ones to end up with kids out of everyone in the Host Club. At the end of the series (anime/manga/whatever) Tamaki manages to get his grandmother to like him and approve of his relationship with Haruhi and she allows him to go see his mother again. After Haruhi's first or second year, I think, they end up living together whenever they go to Boston for foreign study. ^^ Exciting, huh? I wish she ended up with Hikaru (who truly dyes his hair brown so people can tell the difference between him and Kaoru easier) or - Hell - even Kyoya, but no. Haruhi admits to loving Tamaki at the airport before he goes to see his mother and he returns he feelings and they kiss. Sooo... Yay? LoL Bet Ranka threatened Tamaki at the wedding! LOL, I remember that . . . "Stupid rich bastards . . ." :D I luv the scenes when Hikaru and Kaoru force her into girly clothes. Sometimes she's too much of tomboy . . . and out of all the anime i watched, she's my fav heroine. She doesn't go all KYA!!!! over the Host Club guys like a crazy fan girl and she's smart too.

Gotta love the twins!! Actually I love them all! Kyouya, Mori, Tamaki, Hani! Haruhi is a great female character.
She isn't fazed by the rich people like many people might.
