Croagunk is the first pokemon that Brock catches in the Sinnoh region. It was in Team Rocket's scheme with a fake gym. It also knows poison and fighting attacks.
If you have seen the previous seasons of Pokemon you would know that Brock likes pretty girls, especially Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy. Every time Brock tries to talk to a pretty girl, Misty or Max would grab Brock and pull him away from the girl.
After Croagunk is in a pokeball, and Brock is saying goodbye to a girl he met in the episode, Gymbalair, Croagunk comes out of its pokeball, does a poison jab at Brock's stomach, Brock falls to the ground, and Croagunk drags him away.
