Sissy is one of the four gym leader in the Orange Islands, and she has a brother. She is the first gym leader in the Orange Islands that Ash goes against. She explains to Ash that we do things different. The reason the gyms are different at the Orange Islands is that they treat the pokemon like athletes.

First she has her Seadra shoot the most cans against Ash's Squirtle using a water gun. Next was moving targets, then came the shootout, but it was a draw.

Ash's last challenge was wave riding. Both Sissy and Ash would ride on a pokemon from the flag that is floating in the ocean and back. Sissy rode on a Blastoise, and Ash rode on the Lapras that he caught. Ash won by having Lapras use its ice beam on the water and sliding on the ice.

Sissy gives Ash the coral eye badge. She says that the badges at the Orange League are seashells.
