Edel is a human-like person, who often gives Ahiru advice and tells stories. She usually appears randomly, or during Ahiru's time of need. Her presence is known whenever a melody from a music box that she pushes around is being played.

At the end of the first season, it is revealed that before her death that she is a puppet, and she burned herself to create a fire to keep Fakir warm because he was wounded from battling. Edel also asked Ahiru (Princess Tutu) as a last request to dance a Pas de Deux with Mytho.
