Character Description: Man
He thought his life was complete. He had a wife, a daughter, and altogether a stable household. He questioned himself, however, and realized that his life was not yet complete. As he put it, he was missing a love that was "more basic", which is why he begins his secret project. He wants to create an outlet for his emotions.
He builds the robot girl for just that. At first, it was everything he had dreamt it would be. But then, the girl surprises him. She uncovers aspects of him he didn't think he had, and she shows emotions he never intended her to show. He's scared, scared enough to throw her against a mirror, shattering the glass. The fear is just too much.
Presence sometimes symbolizes acts. Like the toy bird that swooops down on another toy and knocks it down, the man "swoops down" on his creation and shuts her off.
Years pass. He tries to forget about the girl, but he can't. Many years later, he has a frightening daydream of the girl self-destructing in front of him.
