Curio is Juliet's fencing teacher and is one of the few who knows that Juliet is actually a women not a man.
One thing you'll notice about Curio is that he has a scar over his right eye. Most likely he lost his right eye in a fight but so far in the anime they have not said what he lost it from.
Curio and Francisco have been friends since they were kids. They both care and worry very much about the young 16 year old Juliet. Curio is also usually teased by Francisco for being to reserved.
Curio is also a skilled swordsman but prefers to fight with an axe. Curio believe that your sword reflects the soul of its owner, which Juliet is told by him many times.
