Mizore Shirayuki first attended Yokai Academy late in the school year, due to 'extenuating circumstances'. She is a yuki-onna, or a snowgirl, a being capable of generating immense cold. She is also a somewhat depressed and lonely girl, and immediately was taken-in by Tsukune, who she believed was just as lonely as her. But after Tsukune rebuffed her first attempt at him (which included sending an ice puppet of herself to kill Moka), she was suspected in attacking and freezing the gym teacher, the kraken Okuto Kotsubo (in truth, Kotsubo tried to molest her but she fought back in self-defense). It was only when photographic proof of the attack was presented by Ginei that she was spared from being expelled.

Yuki-onna are vulnerable to warm weather, so Mizore is often seen sucking on a lollipop, which keeps her cool. Her fondness for Tsukune is so intense that she stalks him daily, which doesn't sit too well with Kurumu. She's also vulnerable to flame, and doesn't like spicy dishes like curry.

Mizore is a yuki onna, a snow woman from Japanese mythology. She can control the element of ice and create ice clones of herself. In her true form her hair and hands turn into ice and she can throw ice projectiles. She always has a lollipop in her mouth to keep her body cool (yuki onna fear the heat).

After a delayed absence, Mizore returns to school and shows an immediate infatuation with Tsukune Aono. Her affections border on being a stalker because Mizore has kept a scrapbook with all of his newspaper articles. She likes Tsukune because she feels that they are both loners in need of companionship.

After Tsukune unintentionally rejects her feelings, Kotsubo-sensei finds her crying and attacks her. In self-defense Mizore freezes him. Everyone thinks that Mizore had attacked him unprovoked. Tsukune finds her on a cliff edge and tells her that if she apologizes to Kotsubo that she won't be expelled. Mizore becomes angry and whips up an ice storm.

In the club room Ginei shows Yukari, Moka, and Kurumu pictures of Kotsubo attacking Mizore and Mizore defending herself. They find Mizore and Tsukune. Mizore falls off the cliff and Tsukune grabs onto her hand and tells her that they are friends. Mizore loses control of her ice clones and Moka turns into the Inner Moka. When Mizore refuses to thank the Inner Moka for saving her, Inner Moka kicks Mizore. Back at the club room Nekonome-sensei is thanking the Newspaper Club for preventing Mizore from being expelled. Mizore shows up revealing her now short haircut.

Mizore usually has a cold, lonely persona but she eventually warms up to the others.

Mizure is a snow woman who attends Yokai Acadamy and is constantly competing over Tsukune with Kurumu Kurono and refuses to give him up. She was in constant sorrow before she met Tsukune and the others and Moka convinced her to try to like life. Unfortunately for Tsukune, Mizore started stalking him every day. She always hides in odd places (under tables, behind corners, etc.).

Mizore Shirayuki, being a snow woman, can control ice and can create ice clones of anything. Also, she can't run around in hot weather or enter hot water or she will melt. She's always seen with a lolypop in her mouth.
