Ayame is the cute older sister of Suzume. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Genzai and is usually seen at the Kamiya dojo. She calls Kenshin "Uncle Ken". Ayame and Suzume are very minor characters and don't appear in the manga (Japanese comics).
