Sekihoutai's leader, Souzou Sagara. After he became the leader of the Sekihoutai, he found and "adopted" Sanosuke. He was a true fighter for the Restoration. However, his army was betrayed by the Restoration army, and he was finally decapitated for this. He was the man Sanosuke respected most, and Sanosuke's last name was changed after him in his honor.
