Character Description: Hakuryu
Not much info is there on this lil' guy on how he and Hakkai met, but these 2 are close companions-- barely inseparable! He often appears as a tiny, white dragon that perches on Hakkai's shoulder whenever they are in a hotel, restaurant, or in a building. But this dragon is very special indeed! It can transform into a jeep (almost--if not--exactly how Ryo-Ohki can transform from a cabbit species into a gigantic spaceship in Tenchi Muyo!).
However, the poor dragon is often treated poorly amongst the Sanzo-ikkou group: Hakkai's crazy driving, Sanzo's cigarettes, and Goyjo and Goku's fighting. One time, he runs away and meets a bunch of little kids. After having a small adventure with them, Hakuryu soon returns to Hakkai's side where he belongs.
So this cute dragon is loyal to Hakkai, almost to the point in he would die for Hakkai (indeed, Hakuryu does fight a few times). So a loyal dragon pet to a jeep, this dragon is quite useful to the Sanzo-ikkou team and their journey westward to India.
In the Japanese manga and CD dramas, Hakuryu is also known as "Jiipu". And apparently, Hakuryu is a reincarnation of Gojun, the commanding officer of Kenren Taisho, Sha Gojyo's god form.
