Character Description: Crona
Just a note to start off, Crona's gender remains ambiguous throughout the series, and since writing he/she is kinda annoying, I'm just going to use the female gender pronouns, mainly since Crona is played by a Japanese female voice actress.
Crona is the only child of Medusa, the first true villain figure in the series. Medusa tortured Crona in order to create the perfect weapon. Medusa, being a witch, cut Crona off from the world and injected her with black blood (forcing Ragnarok to become part of Crona's body).
But Medusa could never really get Crona to love killing or evil. Every time Medusa tried, Crona would claim she "didn't know how to deal with it." After this, Medusa would lock Crona in a room for days at a time leaving her to be bullied by her weapon.
Finally, Crona cracked. She listened to his mother's orders until, while defending the kishin, she had a battle with Maka. Maka is the closest to her soul wavelength, so Crona opens up to Maka because Maka understands. They are now best friends and would do anything for each other.

Chrona/Crona however you would like to spell it, is indeed a girl. Even though it's not TOO clear, you can see some breasts when in some fights but only for seconds at a time, it comes out clear when medusa says that chrona is her daughter. (Later in the series Episodes 40's-50).

In 20th episode Medusa said that chrona was her daughter so I guess Chrona's a girl.

Umm... #6 Chrona's voice actor is Maaya Sakamoto... y'know famous singer and pop star known for doing the voice of Tsubasa's Sakura and Aerith Gainsboro from Advent Children. Last I saw her she was a very pretty Japanese lady.
They call her she every once in a while.

i thought chrona was a boy up till episode 20, when they started calling her a girl. she looks like a girl when she was younger. either shes a girl or medusa forces him to crossdress

but i dont think chrona and maka are bfffff's forevah....or are they later in the series? (only on ep 25)

I really think that Medusa forced HIM to take estrogen pills, to make him a her, becuase Medusas cruel and abusive like that... so, I think it'd make a lot of sense
