Soul Eater takes place at the Shinigami Weapon Meister Vocational School, a special school that is ruled by the God of Death himself. Students are trained as Meisters, wielders of the weapons of the Shinigami. Each student is assigned a weapon that is also capable of taking human form. Created in order to prevent the reawakening of the evil demon gods known as the "Kishin," the goal of each student is to hunt down 99 evil souls and one witch, which will increase the power of the Meisters weaponry. The anime focuses on the adventures of three certain groups of students as they try to complete their assignments as up and coming Meisters.

this show is demented. Of course, because of that its my favorite show! My favorite episode is episode 14! i watch it a lot... thats the episode about the written test! of the 6 main characters i think only 2 even started the test before time was up! death the kid only got to the K in his name... so only maka and tsubaki started! ... show more »

@SoulEaterCrazy as far as I understood through the dub, White Star was indeed Black Star's father in the anime, too. I just am not sure that Mifune was ever made aware of that.
