Hiyono is the editor of the school newspaper at Ayumu's school. They met when Hiyono was accused of breaking a window with a rock and Ayumu stepped in to point out that Hiyono did not do it. The later, after Ayumu is accused of pushing Sayoko Shiranagatani off a balcony, she begins hanging around Ayumu in hopes of getting info for the newspaper to publish. She vows either to give Narumi justice or just redeem his good name. Either will do for her.
Hiyono becomes quite an asset in helping to solve cases, and keeping Ayumu from being killed! She believes in his skills and luck more than Ayumu himself does. She also likes hanging around Ayumu in hopes of getting him to play the piano for her, or just to have some more of his excellent cooking!
Hiyono is an energetic and (sort of overboard) editor Tsukiomi Academy newspaper. If there is important news, Hiyono will be there.

Ah, Hiyono-san and Ayumu-san didn't meet each other when Hiyono-san broke a window. hey met when Hiyono-san wanted to interrogate Narumi-san about Sayuki Shiranagatani's case. The person who broke the window in both the anime and the manga was Rio Takeuchi-san.

She was hired by Kiyotaka to be Ayumu's supporter, yes, but it was so when Kiyotaka the truth, that no one was his friend or that no one was left to support him, he would be 'nothing' (I don't know how to word it right). In the end Ayumu knew all along, and beat his brother at his own game, finally.

In the manga "Hiyono" is a character made up by kyotaka to be Ayumu 's supporter and then when Ayumu finds out "Hiyono" goes to work in Germany for two years. I guess she is a business women by the way she was dressed in the last chapter. She said that she wasn't 17 but much older.

I really like that weird song she sings. It is very unique. Does anyone know exactly how she gets all of that 'Top Secret' info? In the manga it says she uses blackmail, but I'm still not sure how she does it.
