Character Description: Lin
Lin, at first, is quite an arrogant character when she sees Chihiro for the first time. She has a tendency to brag a lot and sometimes tease others, and others do the same thing back. When Sen is hired, Sen is assigned to work with Lin, and... amazingly... is shocked that Sen "got through" with Yubaba.
Later on in time, she develops a friendship and loyalty with Sen, and stops viewing her as a scaredy-cat.
Lin may be arrogant, but if you get to know her, she seems to show her friendliness.

Apparently Lin isn't a slug woman. According to the "Art of Miyazaki's Spirited Away" Lin is actually a transformed sable, which is a kind of weasel or mink (pg.120).
