Spirited Away | Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi |
No-Face is a monster (according to Lin). Things about him are unknown. His height and weight depends, because he can get really fat and really huge if he eats to much.
Chihiro met No-Face one time on a rainy day. She let the door open for No-Face, because Chihiro thought he was a customer. No-Face can make as much gold (which it turns to be just dirt) as he wants.
As he entered the building, he made all the workers give him food, so they can get all his gold. But Sen saved the workers by giving him some medicine from a water spirit. As Chihiro gave him the medicine, No-Face vomited everywhere, and chased Chihiro everywhere. As Chihiro was about to get on a train to go to Zeniba's house, No-Face wanted to come, and they became friends. Then No-Face stayed with Zeniba, because No-Face was really good at spinning thread and other things.

No-Face wasn't bad, "being in the bathhouse makes him crazy", as Chihiro says. Also very cute when he isn't fat.

No-Face is my favorite character from the film. He's not bad, just misunderstood. Poor guy. All he really ever wanted was to be friends with Chihiro.

Does anyone know WHERE NoFace got the hair from, because I recall him eating the frog, who didn't have hair, and then he suddenly had hair, and then he ate the Foreman and Yuna. I always wondered how he got the hair considering the froggie dude was bald.

I believe the description is wrong, I watched the special features part where they were explaining the movie further: from what I heard, No-Face was a type of spirit that was easily influenced by others. In the onsen, when he had gold, the workers turned greedy, thus he became greedy too, eating and eating. He also took on the personality, voice and features(such as the arms and hair) of those he ate up. The medicine from the water spirit seems to repel evil so that was why No-Face vomited all the 'evil' substances that he had swallowed. ... show more »
