Absolute Anime

Starting out as a war correspondant on the space knights, he is secretly an agent for General Galt. With his facade, he seems friendly and easy going despite the war, but underneath, hides an ambitious, inventive, and cunning solder. Once he gets the information on the Tekno suit, he leaves and returns as the Tekno suit's first pilot. Because of his natural predjuice against Slade, he verbally whips our hero out of his confidence, sending Slade down a spiral he may never get out of.

There is a reason for his ambtions. He and his life-long friend, Marlo, a brilliant scientist who also works for Gault and cares for like a brother, dreams of fame and fortune after spending their youth in the gutter. To say that Balzac wasn't happy when Marlo got attacked and killed by Spidercrabs would be an understatement.

Later on in the series, Balzac rejoins the Space Knights as a changed man. He fights alongside them with his Battlesuit, Sole Tekkaman #01, throwing away his arrogent side and becoming more of a hero than when he first appeared. In one of the series' final episodes, he sacrifices himself (and his battlesuit) in order to destroy Tekkaman Sword.
