Character Description: General Gault
General Gault is one of Earth force's top generals. At the beginning of the series, he was treating Slade like he was property of the defence force. But it was the Space knights who convinced Gault to leave him alone and make his own decisions. Throughout the series, he wanted Slade so he could examine him. The result was their version of the technoman battlesuit, piloted by Balzac.
During the war, Gault gained access to the most powerful and outlawed weapon on Earth, the Thunderhawk missile. His plan was to use the missile to destroy the Space Ring. The problem was that debris from the Space Ring would crash on Earth and almost all of human life would be lost. With the help of Slade and Pegas, the missile was destroyed in midi-flight, taking Gault with it. In the beginning of the series, he was a sly and devious man. Near the end of his life, he was descibed as insane.
