Two teenagers named Takeru and Ryo are struggling through an angst and rebellious period in their lives. However, all of this is disrupted one strange night when Takeru meets a strange girl that he dreamed about.

They are attacked by an alien creature, and things proceed to get stranger when Takeru transforms into a monster himself and defeats the alien beast. However, the girl (who they name Hikari) seems to have no past or memories.

They eventually start a new life for her while she learns the ways of the world. However, this is only a prelude leading to even more strange encounters and mysteries, eventually climaxing in a struggle that could jeopardize all life on Earth.
