This prequel to the movie X features the adventure of mystic Subaru Sumeragi before his fatal battle with Seishirou, although it does not include the circumstances of why they battled. These two episodes are set during the time when the two were still friends, and includes Subaru's somewhat loopy, but well-meaning twin sister Hokuto.

In the first episode, Subaru investigates the mysterious deaths surrounding a building complex, and discovers that someone is looking for revenge because of one of those deaths. In the second, Subaru meets a mystic with "post-cognative" abilities after witnessing a murder on a subway. Soon, he discovers that she might be in danger from the murderer.
