Two years after the Decepticons defeat at the end of the first Transformers movie, the Autobots have formed an alliance with the American Military in order to protect the world against the remaining Decepticons. Meanwhile, Sam Witwicky is preparing to take the next step in his life, college. And he prefers to live a normal life without the Transformers. However, trouble once again rears its ugly head when a piece of the Allspark puts a mysterious language into Sam's head, yet again making him a target for the Decepticons.
All of this leads to the presence of an even greater enemy known as The Fallen. The Decepticons once again make their move against humanity by reviving Megatron and recruiting a new force of Decepticons to attack Earth. Now Sam and the Autobots are on the run on a journey to decrypt the information in his head and help put a stop to The Fallen and the Decepticons.
