Character Description: Téa Gardner
Téa is a childhood friend of Yugi. She cares a lot for her friends and tells them not to give up hope. She helps Yugi a lot too. She went out on a date with Yami Yugi (to help find out about his past), and fought Mai for starchips so that Yugi could get inside Pegasus Castle.
Some fans believe that that Téa is the reincarnation of Teana, who lived in ancient Egypt with Pharaoh Atemu, but really this is never made mention of in the series at all. Téa's spirit does travel back in time with Yugi, Honda, and Jounouchi, but she is not a reincarnation.
In Japanese, Anzu means "apricot".

Character Description: Téa Gardner
One day, Anzu was working at a restaurant to make money for dance lessons after school. When she goes to her locker, she finds a picture with her working at the restaurant and threatening to tell on her working if she didn't show up at an abandon warehouse (the school didn't want their students to work). She arrives there and finds a pervert who is video taping close ups of Anzu's body. (It seemed though as if this perv was about to rape her.)
Then comes Yami no Yuugi and jumps the perv, while he knocks Anzu unconcious. Yami no Yuugi challenges him to a game of high card draw. Yami no Yuugi wins, but the perv retaliates. Yami no Yuugi then uses his Mind Crush ("Mind Crack" in Japan) and sends his evilness to the Shadow Realm.
While Anzu was unconcious, she heard Yami no Yuugi's voice, and when she awoke, she found Yuugi. She's had a crush on him ever since he rescued her.
She knows what she's doing, and she cares a lot for her friends. She'll never give up.
Overall, Anzu is very kind and willing to help others.

I was joking.Yami Yugi and Anzu is a....Cute couple?I can't say this.They are simple good.

I think Téa is a great character. She is strong and feisty. Téa has her goals in mind and she's intelligent, too.
(Personally, I prefer pairing her up with Kaiba.)
I blame the writer's for not giving her better dialogue. The friendship speeches? I dare someone to count the number of times Yugi/Yami/Atem talks about the Heart of the Cards. Yeesh, people. Friendship is pretty good.
(Don't kill me, but I actually like the friendship speeches. Weird, no? ;))
The reason she's had a crush on Yugi is because he's a baby panda, he's her BEST MALE FRIEND- she knew him longer than she knew Joey and Tristan-, and because he's saved her counts. She likes Yami because he's like an enigma to her. I mean come on...Everyone likes enigmas!
She's my favorite character in Yu-Gi-Oh and I'm willing to stand up for her. ... show more »

I think tea is the most bashed character because she's the one who's [almost] always paired with the hawt guys. XD
Hahaha. XD I admit I hated her because she's often paired with Atemu. XDDD But yeah, putting the pairings and the [oh ra...] friendship speeches aside, she's really cool. XDDD

Why is Tea bashed the most??? Lots of people say she is annoying and gives lots of friendship speaches... It is just that her friends give her strength and courage.. Is that so bad??? In my opinon Serenity is much more disturbing. She is always the damsel in distress and complaining for
everything but she is not bashed as much as Tea.. Tea on the other hand can put up a good fight and fend for herself... she is the most hated character though... The ones who bash her are just jealous of her personality and the fact that Yugi likes her... ... show more »

well i like tea, but she's not my favorite female character. and it IS annoying how they always crush on the main characters. that's why i (almost) always change it in my fanfics. or if i do keep the crush (for example, sakura's crush on sasuke in naruto) then they never actually get together. as for her looks, i think tea is pretty in a more average way, which is actually kind of a nice break from all the glamour girls you see in anime. it makes them seem more realistic ^^ her friendship speeches would be a lot better if they were shorter!! xD lol i have a short attention span for stuff like that... ^^" (as in, boring! xD lol)
