Blair Flannigan is an 8-year old girl who disguises herself as a boy to enter Duel Academy. After she is caught sneaking into Zane's room, and actually nuzzling his deck, Jaden discovers her true gender. Blair demands he keep her secret, but Jaden only agrees on the condition she duel him. While they duel, Zane and others watch.

Blair unleashes her "Maiden in Love", a monster that makes Jaden's Elemental Heroes Sparkman and Avian fall in love with her and turn themselves to Blair's control. It takes Jaden's female Hero Burstinatrix to break the spell and defeat Blair.

Blair admits that she snuck into Duel Academy because she had fallen in love with Zane. Zane tells Blair she has to go home, and Jaden believes that it's because Zane thinks she's too strong and will replace him as top student. In reality, Blair is many years too young to enroll in the Academy, and Jaden is horrified to learn he was almost defeated by an 8-year old (in Blair's own words: "8 and a half, if it makes you feel better!"). As she leaves, Blair calls out to Jaden that she loves him now, and Jaden is again shocked.

Near the end of season 2, Blair returns as a member of the Genex Tournament, and challenges Hell Kaiser Zane. Zane, who is dropping out the tournament, declines the challenge, but gives Blair his medals as he doesn't want them anymore. Blair uses these medals to challenge Chazz for the Genex Championship, stating that if she wins, she will be officially permitted to join the Academy. Blair looses to Chazz, but was admitted to Duel Academy for being the runner-up in the Genex Tournament.

In the beginning of the 3rd Season, Blair commandeers Chazz's private room in the Slifer Red dorm.
