Character Description: Titan
Titan is on his first appearance, a free-lance duelist who duels others in Shadow Games for a living. When Dr. Crowler hires him, he travels to Duel Academy, and kidnaps Alexis to lure Jaden into a duel at the Abandoned Dorm. When Titan subjects Jaden to the horrors of his Archfiend Deck, Jaden is shocked when the Shadow Game begins to make his body vanish as Titan unveils that he controls the Millennium Puzzle!
Eventually, Jaden turns the tables and realizes that Titan is a phony, and his Millennium Puzzle is a fake: Titan's so-called "Shadow Game" is a combination of hypnosis and cheap parlor tricks. An enraged Titan, furious at being found out, tries to flee, until a portal opens and drags Titan and Jaden into a real Shadow Game. Titan is possessed by the Shadow Realm to continue the duel, and loses to Jaden.
Titan is rescued by Kagemaru to become a Shadow Rider, donning a Shadow Mask to give him true power of the Shadow Realm. Challenging Alexis, Titan uses new Bullfighter Fiends to combat Alexis. Alexis ultimately defeats Titan, and he again consumed by the Shadow Realm.
