Bakken is a member of the Mashoutoukai Team, and has the ability to generate steam and smoke from his sweat. He hides in his smoke to make it difficult for his opponent to see him, then he attacks, and hides again.

He fought Yusuke during the tournament. Yusuke made a hole in the dome so all the smoke could escape, and once that happened, Kuromomotaro was then hopeless against Yusuke. He was beaten by Yusuke's punches until he passed out. He also hit Kurama several times just for fun, even though he knew that Kurama had no chance against him because Kurama was already half-dead (not moving, but still standing) after fighting Gama and Touya consecutively.
