Karasu is one of the people Toguro forced to fight on his team. He is a master of bombs and uses his energy to shape them and they detonate upon his command.
Karasu has a strange crush on Kurama, or rather, Kurama's hair. He disappeared once when Kurama was staring him down, only to have him sneak up behind him and mention that he should take better care of his hair.
Karasu kills what he loves, and thus he tries to kill Kurama in the tournament. Fortunately, Kurama kills Karasu first.
Karasu's Height is estimated based on Bui's height, which is mentioned in episode 57.

Karasu is a demon. It's very probable that we're missing the whole demon culture and that maybe, just maybe, demons don't get so caught up over genitalia as us pathetic humans do. Even if Karasu isn't "Homosexual" he definitely has some sort of attraction to Kurama that seems VERY sexual. But so what? What's the big deal? What if he's bi? Or straight but just likes pretty boys? Or think Kurama's an exception? Or is as gay as hard gay and proud of it? What if his attraction is really based only on Kurama's beauty and Karasu's love of murder? Whatever you want to think, it's clear that Karasu has some strange, sick crush or obsession or whatever you want to call it, and wants to kill Kurama for his own pleasure, not to win the tournament. So stop arguing over if he's gay or not. That's not the point here. Whoa, what is this whole argument about? O.o Seriously, guys. If you want to think Karasu is homosexual, then fine, but just make sure that you have solid evidence. A lot of things were lost in translation from the manga to Japanese anime to the English dub. While I did get the creeps about him back when I was younger and had first watched the anime during the Dark Tournament, Togashi himself never stated that Karasu was only attracted to men. And in the end, it's his opinion that counts overall, despite the 'facts' you're reading into that concerns the anime, which can be a very twisted adaptation of the original storyline. (And even if he does say that 'cool' thing in the manga, really. Fangirls and anyone with a stubborn mindset will read into anything to prove their point.) ... show more »

I believe that Karasu IS a gay. and here are my reasons. 1. when you first see him his eyes seem to hold sadness, and love, at Yusuke in his fight with Chu 2. He tells Kurama he loves the relationship between murder and victem 3. he has an obbcession with hair 4. His eyes scream uke 5. He says that Kurama has a cute face 6. why couldn't he be? You know that the creator of this anime (Yu Yu Hakusho) created a yaoi (called Hunter x Hunter), so it really couldn't be that impossible that Karasu is gay. ... show more »

... Oh god you people seriously did not watch the anime... (not all of you, just those claiming Karasu is STRAIGHT AND JUST HAS A HAIR FETISH) -.- He mentions the hair thing literally ONCE. He spends an ENTIRE EPISODE going on about how much he likes Kurama, WHY he likes Kurama (and it isn't HAIR), and why he's going to kill Kurama! Alright, he doesn't get so much creeper time in the original manga (WHICH I OWN AND AM READING FOR REFERENCE AT THIS INSTANT) but that's kay! He says, and I DIRECTLY QUOTE BOOK 10 (my english class appears to be getting to me...) that Kurama is "cool and aggressive", which is why he "favours [him]". It's not just fangirls calling Karasu gay my friends, it's canon. Now let's all get over it and acknowledge, "huh, there's a gay bad guy. Next!"
