Z-Mind is a Super Robot series that takes place in the swinging 1970's, and focuses on three teenaged girls named Ayame, Renge, and Sumire. Life is peaceful, at least until Ayame is kidnapped by some men in dark suits. She is rescued by a mysterious young man... however, this was only the prelude of what was to come.
A deadly alien force is attempting to terrorize the human race, and Ayame and her friends soon find themselves in a battle to save humanity from this threat. Together they pilot a group of robots that form to create the ultimate weapon, Z-Mind.
However, the tension isn't merely limited to the aliens. Ayame and the girls soon have family issues, a mysterious and painful past and a VERY overprotective father.
