Won Lei is Li-en's mamodo and a Kung Fu master. He appears to be the oldest of the rest of the other mamodos, even though he is only 14 years old, the same age as Brago.
He is in love with Li-en, and is worried for her safety, so he tells her that he hates her in hopes that she'll leave him alone and not get hurt in the mamodo battles.

This bio is pretty good. However, I think that some of the information on this page is inaccurate.
I am 100% sure I read somewhere that Wonrei is actually 15 years old - I think it was on one of the Konjiki no Gash Bell! video games.
I'm also pretty sure that he's not the oldest, considering the fact that Bari is 17.

I have no choice but to applaud Wonrei for his true love towards his beloved Li-en. I really hate those Ash-and-Misty couples who feign hating each other to hide their true feelings (Mainly because the first time I saw pokémon, I REALLY believed that they hated each other).
