Anime Profile: Ai No Kusabi: The Space Between

This futuristic anime takes place in Amoi, ruled over by a super computer named Jupiter. Rank or status is determined by hair color, blonde being the highest, and black or dark brown being lowest. The Blondies occupy Tanagura, the most grand city in Amoi. The "mongrels" (black haired) are naturally born in Ceres. Midas is a town that lies in-between, housing the shades of brown and such. Jupiter is said to have created the Blondes to rule in Tanagura, and the others were all born naturally, which Jupiter is said to control that as well.

Restricting the number of females keeps males like Iason and Raoul in control. Female numbers are restricted in all three cities, making reproduction a bit of a challenge. Women are normally sold as Class "A" Pets. Pets are sexual slaves, and are in both genders, male and female.

Iason visits Midas in a business trip, and stumbles upon Riki being attacked as he tries to steal a car. He saves Riki, who can only, and offers to, pay Iason back with his body. After one night of this, Iason decides to take Riki as a Pet, and marks his claim by applying a "Pet Ring", or tracker ring, to the base of Riki's penis.

Under Jupiter's laws, Blondes are sterile and are restricted from indulging in sexual activities. "Pets" are only for voyeuristic purposes. Further emasculation is seen in the "Furniture," eunuch slaves whom serve the Blondes.
