Description: Argentosoma
The year is 2059. Aliens have been appearing on Earth for the past few years. A professor (Dr. Noguchi) has been working to try to revive one of these aliens (dubbed Frank or EX-1/EXTRA 1) with the help of one of his students (Maki Agata) and her boyfriend (Takuto Kaneshiro).
An accidental power surge causes the alien to heal itself and come back to 'life', and the Morgue (the place where Dr. Noguchi works) is destroyed in the process. Seventeen people are killed, the only survivor being Takuto.
With Takuto's entire life destroyed (Maki was killed in the accident), he is offered a new identity from a mysterious stranger known as Mr. X. Takuto, seeking revenge, quickly accepts his offer, and wakes up as Ryu Soma, a high ranking Funeral (division of the army that fights against aliens) officer.
Frank/EXTRA 1 escapes into the wilderness where he meets a girl named Harriet who lives with her grandfather after her parents were killed in a fire. Her grandfather knew of other aliens -or 'elves' as he called them - like Frank, and enabled Harriet to form a special 'bond' with EXTRA 1.
However, Harriet bears a striking resemblance to Takuto's dead girlfriend, so Ryu is put in a very tough position over EXTRA 1.
Does he destroy EXTRA 1 and get his revenge for Maki, or does he let EXTRA 1 live and keep Harriet happy, a chance he didn't have with Maki? And whose side is EXTRA 1 on anyways...
