Anime Profile: Corpse Princess

Ouri Kagami has just made his way into the world after he left the orphanage run by the Buddhist Kougan Sect. However, he still makes visits to the place, mostly to see his perverted adoptive brother Keisei Tagami, who is a monk there. However, he gets drawn into a shadow world which the Kougan Sect is battling shikabane – undead beings who had died with regret in their hearts.

The main weapons, however, are shikabane hime – young girls who are themselves undead... and brandishing various automatic and semi-automatic weapons! In particular, Ouri finds himself drawn to Makina Hoshimura, a shikabane hime contracted by Keisei, who is a family friend, herself engaged in a nightly battle against darkness! However, a former monk of the Kougan Sect has begun a program of creating shikabane that operate from more than human regret – a battle which quickly draws Ouri, Makina and other shikabame hime in it!
