The series Divergence Eve and Divergence Eve: Misaki Chronicles is a "hard science-fiction" anime. It's pretty much about a girl named Misaki Kureha, an 18 year-old girl with a "ghoul" living within her.

In the series, Misaki started out as an amateur trying her best in the "army", and also trying to figure out why her father "worked" there. Later on, Misaki is on a team with Kiri, Suzanna, and Luxandra, the best... let's just say "students" there.

In one of the episodes, Misaki meets a little girl walking into a room with a giant gun, bigger then her's, in the middle of her and her team's "gun practice". As Misaki watched the little girl hit every single "virtual" rock, she just stares at her. You must be wondering, what is a little girl doing there with a gun?! Well, she's NOT a normal girl. Her name is Kotoko -01, and she is actually a support android made from "Watcher's nest".

Divergence Eve is all about Misaki, the ghoul within her, and her team going to different planets, trying to kill the ghoul and a bunch of other things about the other characters.
