Because the characters are toooooooo awesome. I'm serious!!!! And the storyline is just simply awesome. And, unlike other anime, only few awesome people die. This is my opinion on Bleach:

If you're still a fan of Naruto after the filler, then you'll probably enjoy Bleach too. The thing about the series is that you should consider watching it like Rurouni Kenshin*. The first arc is quite amazing, I was in love with the series then, but after that they do some filler and then the story starts getting bad. I haven't read or watched any of it lately so I don't know if that's changed, but in the end it's up to you. Soul Society is worth watching definitely.

* Rurouni Kenshin did an okay job of following the manga up to the Kyoto arc where it followed it very well. After that well...it's just bad.
