Re: Imperialism

I have an essay due later this week on imperialism in India. I have to find ways in which India was harmed. I already have 2 topics for it (Thousands were killed and Muslims were separated from the Hindus) Is there any other way India was harmed as a result of English imperialism? Thank you Wheneve...

Re: Imperialism

I would rather discuss Imperialism in it entirety, rather than picking a single one. Being a scholar of history, this is what I would prefer to do as well, rather than watching you rehearse the same trite and irrelevant character analysis that you have always directed towards me. I must say, my own...

Re: Imperialism

If you want to deny that many people benefited from that conquest on an economic perspective, you leaving out the other side of the story. I am not denying that people benefited from the conquest in economic ways. In fact, I am saying the exact opposite! People benefited all right. Albeit via explo...

Take a whole lot of breaks. Study effectively for short period, and take really short breaks. 20 minutes of study, five of break.

Re: Imperialism

It would take a look at the other side of the coin. In becoming part of the British Empire, India joined the largest empire the world as ever produced. Which includes all the economic benefits of being in the Empire. I don't think Americans or people outside the UK might know the saying "The sun ne...

Perhaps you are. But if you're not Caucasian, this calculator does not take that into account.

Re: Prop 8 Cases

As much as I like to debate, I personally don't argue about religion because you can't prove or disprove it, and it's something that is very sacred to people. It's fine to disagree and talk about it, but as I've said before, this thread isn't the place to do so. I only made this thread to keep peop...

Re: Prop 8 Cases

And any ethical intellectual wouldn't argue over religion. Perhaps in a Nazi society in which the Nazis ensured that no person ventured into discussion of a topic that was only relevant in the 'core-periphery' as opposed to the 'absolute core' You've got to be kidding me Athos. We should have a dis...

Re: Prop 8 Cases

Unfortunetly, you have fallen into the trap of distorting the word of God (which is indeed infallable, as it was written by God through men, not by men alone. You have fallen into the trap of circular logic. "What is written in the Bible is true because it says so in the Bible." (And seriously, I c...

Justice Corrigan noted her in dissenting opinion In Re Marriage Cases , the traditional understanding of marriage did not change under Loving . And Leviticus 18:22--"Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin" That's the great thing about the Bible. We can ignore it, because it's a disgu...
