You can also buy manga from video stores that do a lot of anime sales. My local suncoast has a large anime selection, so they stuck a manga rack next to it. fye might do that also.

Hmm...you've briefly lost me here. I haven't seen that much anime beyond that with the exception of Tranzor Z , which I doubt is what you're looking for. Try looking up Force Five , though. It's actually an amalgamation of several series, and at least one of them comes from the infamous Go Nagai. If...

--==Spoiler Alert==--

As we learn during the course of Gundam Wing, Heero finds himself unable to kill in cold blood anymore. At the end of Endless Waltz, he pulls the trigger, and it just clicks (it's empty). But psychologically, it's enough. That's why he says that he's killed Marimeia.

Very fascinating. I really enjoyed the series, especially with its deep and dramatic storyline combined with its subtle music and just the right amount of action.

The Tenchi Muyo! TV theme is self-titled. For Outlaw Star , the opening is called "Through the Night", the closings are "Hiru no Tsuki" and "Tsuki no Ie" The Battle Angel closing is "Cyborg Mermaid". The themes for New Dominion Tank Police are "Just Go Be...

I know it's not Ronin Warriors. That dates to the early 90's.

Since I was just a kid when 80's anime was about, my memory's a bit sketchy.

Hmm...how about Captain Harlock and the Queen of a Thousand Years? Did any of the characters happen to have a black uniform and an eyepatch?

Ah, Silent City . I still prefer Najica 's music (mostly performed by Diligent Circle of Ekoda), especially the self-titled opening. It seems to have a better feel. I prefer the original version of Sakura Saku , sung by good ol' Megumi Hayashibara, who also sings all the openings for The Slayers . I...

FLCL? Oh yeah, it's hilarious...in a weird sort of way. About the only way to really enjoy FLCL is to see it for yourself. It's too weird to otherwise put into justifiable words.

A word of advice, though, Mountain. Take a subtitled version. The dub suffered typical 80's butchery while sub versions stick to the original program.

Well, Leiji Matsumoto was still around in the early 80s' accentuating his earlier works with other ones like Queen MIllennia . It was also the beginning of the first big anime mania: Gundam . Even after the conclusion of the first series in the early 80's, people couldn't get enough, so you began se...

Well, most comedy anime isn't totally comedy, but they'll have a comedic focus with perhaps other genres to flesh them out and give body to the jokes. Excel Saga gets its comedy from poking fun at everything it could think of and flipping the bird at the censors. Even Puni Puni Poemy bases its comed...

Well...Matsumoto was probably the most notable artist of the 70's, but there was also the infamous Go Nagai (Devil Man, Cutey Honey) as well as Monkey Punch (Lupin the 3rd).

It probably came naturally following the rush of the US-Soviet space race. Everyone was looking to the stars then. Part of this also is because space seemed to be Matsumoto's forte (most if not all his memorables are space-themed), and the 70's was his heyday.
