Ha ha! Thats awesome

Yeah, it's a politeness thing, like if some one told you that you can speak really good Japanese, it would be polite to say "iya, mada mada" wich would mean, "On no, I still have a long way to go"

Re: Lessons number 1!

what's the politest way to say "you"? It's actually "otaku", no joke, but people don't really say this because it is so polite it sounds sarcastic, generally in Japanese when you are referring to someone else you will not say "you" as such, but simply use honorifics, b...

Re: Japanese Language/Culture/whatever links

m You can download entire books of popular manga in Japanese, although the downloads go very slow. But last night I was so happy to find this place I almost cried, because I was bemoaning not being able to afford to import Hikaru no Go manga. AWESOME FIND! God damn, it even had the train man manga

No. You have no real experience on AA at this point. Maybe later, but not right now. She joined all of about 2 or 3 weeks after you did. I don't think you are in any position to criticize her due to how new she is. In the same way, if you joined so close, how do you have any real experience to judg...

Re: Wha do they mean ???

There are many many different kanji for those names, well over 20

But just at random, airi 愛麗 can mean "favorite companion" and iori 生賀 can mean "Life of joy"
