Remember that bad guy Magatsuhi? There was a battle against him and Naraku and they all thought that Shess had managed to destroy him and they saved Kohaku but then they realised that Magatsuhi was in Miroku and Rin too, they were the backup plan.
Oh and Naraku has Kagome as hostage now and her powers are sealed so she can't do anything about it.

Yes, I did. That's why she's my fave char. because even though she's very troubled she still manages to hold on and keep her head up
