I just saw the Third Inuyasha movie and was wondering...Inutaisho was a full demon and he could weild Tetsaiga, but now Sesshomaru...can't? what's up with that?!

Inutaisho liked humans and Tetsusaiga was made to protect humans. Also, the Tetsusaiga was made out of his fang. Sesshomaru can't weild Tetsusaiga because he has no love for humans.

Well... uh.... I think because Rin is only one human and Tetsusaiga was made to protect 'humans' in general. But he could weild it breifly when they were fighting. I think Rin helped for that moment.

If I'm correct, the reason Sess cannot wield Tetsusaiga is because he doesn't have human blood.

I don't think that's the reason, Sesshomaru doesn't want to protect humans like his father, Inutashio did.

Then how come his father (who also don't have human blood) can weild it

It's his sword (Inutaisho) so duh "HE" can weild it!

Actually, there's more to it. Sesshy grows to protect Rin and .....uh, maybe love is too strong....like Rin...

Actually, i think, he didn't really admit he is to protect humans.
When you watch the almost ending of the 3rd movie, when they are about to defeat the shouuga(is that the sword? i'm not sure) A flashback came to Sesshoumaru: when his father asked him if he's protecting something cause he really wants to get the sword and be powerful, then Rin and Jacken came to his mind but he said he was not proctecting anybody. So i think he denies in protecting humans and so the tetsusagai is not suited for him...

Yeah I think so too.

Actually the reason why Sesshomaru can't wield the tetsusaiga is because there is a barrier on it. The tetsusaiga lets only InuYasha wield it. Because Inutashio wanted InuYasha to have it and Sesshomaru to have the tensaiga.
