It's much easier to like Ryoko. She's spontaneous, fun, and hey who doesn't like a little attitude? Ayeka on the other hand, is proper and stuffy: a combination that is often given to portray stuck-up royals like her. (Okay, maybe stuck-up wasn't the right way to describe Ayeka, but whatever.) Not to mention her english-dubbed voice was terrible.
